Vice President of Construction Lon Dominick is a loyal family man who loves to build. He was born in Oklahoma and traveled with his family until they settled in Wichita, KS. As an elementary student, Lon delivered newspapers, mowed lawns and raked leaves. Eventually he befriended an artistic peddler who owned rental properties. Lon worked alongside the peddler learning the construction trade by building a wood shop, free standing bell tower, pagoda, and a three story castle complete with a two story circle slide. Lon chose to apply his skills to rental properties and eventually obtained his contractor’s license with the City of Wichita.
He joined Zernco in 1996 as a traveling carpenter. Lon has served as General Superintendent and Construction Operations Manager before taking on the role of Service Manager in 2014. Safety is a priority for Lon. It is important to him that all of Zernco’s employees protect themselves and others. He was honored with the 2012 Zernco Safety Award.
When his schedule permits, Lon enjoys fly fishing in the Colorado Rockies, cruising in the Caribbean or more often cheering on his daughter at one of her sporting events or his son at a soccer match.
