Jason Boling is always learning. As the third generation of construction workers in his family, he has over 40 years of industry experience. He recalls pulling nails on his dad’s job site as a toddler and playing in piles of sawdust under his dad’s table saw with his Tonka truck. After being around construction all his life, it was natural that construction became an essential part of his education and who he has become.
Jason was born in Texas. He spent his teen years traveling with his superintendent dad building tenant build out projects in malls where he learned hands-on how to frame, hang and finish drywall, and install acoustical ceilings. He remembers working on stores such as Regis Hairstylists, Foot Locker, Zales, Disc Jockey, Payless Shoes, Lane Bryant, Lerner’s, and a list of many others, all before he was 18. Spring breaks and summers were spent traveling throughout the United States earning extra money working on various construction sites. He still recalls living in motels all over the United States as a youth and the excitement of going to the next job with his dad. These experiences came to define Jason’s outlook and instilled in him his passion for the industry that still remains. Jason has also come to learn that the challenges are never-ending in the construction industry.
As Construction Operations Manager at Zernco, Jason embraces each challenge with optimism and dedication to deliver to the client a product that exceeds their expectations. His career experiences cover all facets of construction, including time as a laborer, carpenter, foreman, estimator, superintendent, and project manager. A little bit of everything. He says he enjoys every bit of it, and being in the middle of a challenge is what he thrives on.
Jason enjoys the quality time he gets to spend with his wife and kids. His wife’s chicken enchiladas and empanadas are by far his favorite meal. He also enjoys the quality family time he spends on vacations at various domestic and international destinations.
In an industry where challenges constantly arise, the ability to adapt and learn is vital. The value of building long-term personal and professional relationships is the key to success. With this in mind, it is easy to see why Jason has become so successful. His personal motto states:
“don’t ever say can’t, because for every problem, there IS a solution.”
