Scott Marko Promoted to President

Zernco announced Scott Marko as President effective January 1, 2018. Scott, formerly Zernco VP of Business Development, will focus on client relationships, organizational development, strategic planning, forecasting, and employee development.  Carrying on the legacy of Zernco founder David Zerngast, the company will continue to nurture the family culture that has contributed to their continued success.

“Scott shares my vision for Zernco and has been a critical team member in our growth by building relationships internally and externally, which is why he will continue to do great things for our employees and clients,” states Zernco CEO, Ashley Thill. “Scott has capitalized on Zernco’s unique opportunities for development and served the changing demographic needs through maintaining long-held relationships with clients, employees, and strategic partners.”

Scott has over fifteen years of construction experience, six of those being with Zernco. He has and will continue to work closely with construction operations to ensure clients’ expectations are exceeded. Scott’s recruitment efforts have also paid dividends for Zernco, adding talented office and field staff to the team. He has been influential in developing the next generation of the construction industry workforce and has partnered with other industry leaders to coach and mentor middle and high school students. Through this initiative, Scott and Zernco invest heavily in workforce development, encouraging people to enter the construction industry, not just working for Zernco, but for the industry as a whole.

Scott notes, “I’m most excited about continuing to be a part of our evolving company and working with our amazing team. We have a lot of talent, and with our combined experiences we will continue to bring value to our clients and strategic partners. We have laid the foundation the last couple of years to take Zernco to the next level, developing systems and assembling the right team. I will continue focusing on our clients and employees, preserving the culture we’ve built, and growing our future leaders.”
