The Zernco Family is excited to announce that the Make-A-Wish Foundation has been chosen by our employees as our charity focus for 2016.

The Make-A-Wish Foundation was established in 1980 with the mission to grant the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy.

Since 1980, Make-A-Wish has granted the wishes of more than 250,000 children in the United States. Today, a wish is granted every 38 minutes with the help of local chapters and offices serving every community in the United States.

Make-A-Wish Kansas, based in Wichita, specifically supports wish requests of the children in Kansas. During the last year, Make-A-Wish Kansas granted 104 wishes.

The foundation serves children ranging in ages from 2.5 – 18 years old with life-threatening medical conditions. They work closely with doctors and hospitals to ensure wishes are impactful for everyone involved.

Most notably, all of the donated resources raised by Make-A-Wish Kansas stays local to benefit children in the state.

With more than 125 Kansas children currently awaiting wishes, the need for their services continues to grow. The mission remains to grant the wish of every child who qualifies for the program. In 2016, the goal is to grant 125 wishes in Kansas!

After the success of last year’s event, Zernco will host our 2nd Annual Clay Shoot on May 6th, 2016, with all proceeds benefiting the Make-A-Wish Foundation in Kansas.

In addition to the Clay Shoot, Zernco will continually provide information on Make-A-Wish Kansas events throughout the year to make our employees aware of the various volunteer opportunities that are available.

To kick off the year, Make-A-Wish will be hosting a “Shaker Full of Wishes” event from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, February 10th at Noah Event Venue in Wichita! Join them for an evening of martini sampling, hors d’ oeuvres, music, and a silent auction. If you wish to attend, please RSVP on their website: www.kansas.wish.org.

Let’s show the strength of the Zernco Family and help grant the power of wishes in 2016!
